Embrace Your Inner Cowgirl

2023 has turned out to have a huge Y2K influence in fashion, hairstyles, and accessories. We’ve seen sporty, chunky sunglasses, butterfly hair clips, belly chains, and swoopy side bangs make a comeback.

This blast from our pasts has been a fun ride, but the most fun we’ve had with the quirky Y2K influence is the copper red hair taking the color world by storm - also known as “Cowgirl Copper”.

Turns out copper-colored hair is not necessarily a new trend. It actually started to gain traction last summer, and we now have a fully committed relationship with the gorgeous shade. We think the trend will continue to rock the beauty world as summer 2023 unfolds, with more people daring to embrace a new vivid look.

However,  not just any shade of copper will do — the Cowgirl Copper shade in particular offers something special that will continue to make it a major request at salons everywhere. This hue specifically is inspired by the super-rich, caramel hues of Western leather making for a glossy caramel tone that sits perfectly between brunette and blonde.

Another fashion trend that has collided with the theme of Western-inspired shades is known as “Coastal Cowboy''.  The aesthetic mixes a laid back beachy aesthetic with a rustic spin. Think Malibu girl with an equestrian background.

So what do we wear to be this summer’s “it” girl? Pair breathable, lightweight fabrics like linens and crochets with structured denim pieces to create easygoing outfits that are as comfortable as they are head turning. Additions such as cowboy boots or a cowboy hat makes for an added Western spin, as well as introducing fun pops of color and intricate detailing.  And the perfect accessory? Your Cowgirl Copper hair of course.
